I have always thought that sealed was the best, however recently I have read that a low tuned vented box is better? What is the best choice sealed, vented, smaller, larger,? I need to feel the double bass kicks loud, precise, and accurately.
All the 10 and 12 inch ED and ID subs are to deep. I talked to adire on the phone they said that the shiva would fit they also recommended the koda but I prefer to spend this than $200.

I am getting a box that 1.0 cubic foot and 5.25" in depth, so I need to find a shallow mount subwoofer that is less than 5.25" deep. I am running about 380 watts, and would prefer to get 1 12" but will get 1 10" to help it fit better.

The only problem is the denimsions it has only 1.0 cubic feet space sealed and 5.25 mounting...
I want a 12" SI D2 but I cant justify $300 for a sub. I also am looking at the shiva($125), the D2 is obviously better, but is it $175 extra better. My tax return came in short. I am replacing my 12w3.

I went to the local car audio store and saw 2 diamond audio cm3 10s loaded in a box for $220! I have the store holding them. I have been searching for subs for months. Should get them?
