Yea they are cheap, I just bought one. Haven't hooked it up yet, but I bought for $35 (budget build). It was their 1500 watt class d (rated @ 750 I believe). Removed the heatsink and like 1/2 of it was empty , but I bought based on fuse size (50 amps). Only hopping to get 500 clean watts out of it.

Finally found Home Depot near me that sells 1/2 sheets. Picked up a .5" 2X4 sheet for $10.

I'll try to contact a few cabinet shops. I called some shops but they all ****, they don't make ciustom boxes. (They sell prefab junk) That's why I was wondering if anyone knew of a shop in my area that actually builds boxes. I'll throw $5 or $10 for someone's help.

Thanks man, I'm just trying to do a budget build so it's the principle. The sub was $40 (old school power hx2) and the amp was $35 (don't ask), so I'm not trying to buy a sheet for $35 and leave 3/4 of it at the store.

I wanted to buy something smaller like a half sheet but the guy at home depot said I couldn't.:(You know offers smaller sections in the area?

Anyone know of a shop around west covina or glendale area where I can get a small piece of mdf. (like 18" by 18" max) I refuse to buy a whole sheet from home depot for this. I'm making a rear deck baffle. Thanks.

any other advice on power handling? It looks pretty beefy for a 1000 watt rms sub. What is the best way to find its limits (bottoming out)?

i know you get what you pay for, but i originally got the subs for 140 brand new, so i'm trying to see if i can keep it going by finding an inexpensive amp. i'm trying to see how much i can do on a budget.
