Everyones is always talking about how underpowering your subs damages them. But would coming up a 100 watts (rms) short of juice really damage a 750 watt rms kicker? Cause the EDNINe.1 amp I'm looking at can give me 600rms x 2 at 1 ohm.

So when a manufactor recommends 3.25 cu. ft. for a ported box, they're not including the port volume?

Well kicker recommends 1.75-3.25 cu. ft. for a ported enclosure. Would 2.25 cu. ft. or 3.25 make it pound harder?

Yea, but plus another 1 cu. ft. for the other second sub (which I didn't mention). I can go about a total of 9 cu. ft. for the 15" which should be enough. Just like I said before it'd be tight fit since thats all. I'd have increased the height of the box by about 3-4 inches. It should work though...

I'm still not sure what amp I'll be using, but I'll probably put out an average of about 900 rms. But I'll really wanna push 'em hard on cruises and shows, like around 1200w rms. Will the 12" kicks be able to with stand that abuse, cause they're rated for 750w rms. Or should upgrade to 15" L7s...

I dont know if u know this but when ur buying an alternator go off of the idle amprage and not the max. Especially if you like to cruise! Kinda how you look at a subs rms rating and not its max. Just thought I'd throw that out there

So should I basically seal that part of the box off? And wouldn't that mean that I'd have to seal that 3" throught out both sides of the chamber? I'd lose a lot of volume like that. Or would I not have to extend the seal past the first port wall?

Wow, I surprised no ones mentioned the kicker 2500.1. They're about $850 so its in your price range. 1250 watts x 2 @ 2 ohms!!!

NO!! He;ll need like 7 those amps to power L7s @ their rms range!! And then after a week or so he'll have 7 burnt amps to throw away!!
