What was the deal with the soldering you did on the RCA terminal? Can you guarantee that the amp is 100% functioning? Are you the original owner of the amp? If so, do you have the box and manual?

AZsound - I noticed in your sig that you own a PA A3000db. Have you had any issues with it? Does it get pretty hot at 1 ohm? Is it enough to power 2 12" L7's in your opinion? Any other input on the amp in general?

I translated it, but I'm still not following you. It gave 4 ohm and 2 ohm test numbers at 12.5 volts, but nothing for 1 ohm. I'm guessing you were just assuming that the 1 ohm number would be around 900 watts?

How can the PA only do 1000 watts at 1 ohm when it's rated at 2300x1 at 1 ohm? Even if it only does 1900-2000 watts (it's over-rated a bit) and I only give it 13 volts, I would still get 1750-1800 watts at 1 ohm. Where are you getting you numbers from?

thanks for the input. What would be your opinion of the Power Acoustik A3000db versus the Autotek MM2000.1d? The Autotek is a bit pricier, and is rated at 2000x1 at 1 ohm. Thanks again.

Wow, the 4000d is rated for 1500x1 at 1 ohm and only does 900 watts? I guess I have my decision! Other input still appreciated. Anyone running either of these amps right now?

The US Amps is rated for 1500x1 at 1 ohm. The Power Acoustik is rated for 2300x1 at 1 ohm. Will either amp perform at rated power? What should I expect to get out of them?

I can get both for about the same price. The amp will be used for running 2 L7 12" dual 4 ohm subs (2006). This is for a boat system, so the amp won't be seeing 14 volts, probably more like 12.5-13.5, so please base you recommendation on this fact. Higher efficiency would be nice. Thanks in...

the amp only does 1000x1 at 4 ohms. Not enough for 2 L7's don't you think?

one more thing - if I'm only getting 12.5-13.5 volts, and this amp is a little over-rated, should I expect to get maybe 2500 watts out of it, and then I'll be a little closer to optimal range for the L7's with some good headroom? I am checking out mostly 1800-2000 watt amps for my subs, but...
