    Thanks for the reply guys! In response to basswiigee: no the amp is only 4 ohm stable in bridge mode and 2 ohm in stereo. But I think I will just get some fans and keep on bumping!

    ok here's an update: i checked the ohm load with my multimeter and it was showing 0.45 ohm. so i took the sub out of the box realized the connections were loose so i tightened them up checked each coil individually both showed 2.1ohm and when finally wired in series 3.9ohm. hooked it all back up...

    thanks for the reply! I was planning on checking my ohm load with my multimeter soon I just figured I would ask on here first. Do you think I would benefit from having cooling fans blowing on the amp?
