Re: 3 10w6v2s

I got two 12w6's with two JL Audio 500/1's, one 500/1 for each 12W6. Those 500/1's put out over 700w rms. After I put the second 500/1 in we tested the SPL with a SPL meter, with the mic at the windshield and I hit 147.3! Not too shaby for two 12W6's in a sealed box, but I don't go for SPL. 12W6's are SOUND QUALITY subs & are not designed for SPL! There is NO WAY I would put these nice SQ drivers in a ported box!

I won't do much to degrade the SQ. They will just be a bit louder. Depending on your music type, they will still sound absolutley fantastic.

I've heard them in both and they sound great. I myself am preparing to get an install done in about two months. I have a 500/1 that will power a single 13w6 in a compact ported enclosure, built to JL's specs. I can't wait.

One question: Why do you say the amps put out over 700W continous? I believe all JL's amps, subs, ans speakers put out and handle exactly what they say they do...it's just many many other brands out there INFLATE their power ratings by going off of 14.4v and not having a clean power output.

500/1 puts out what REAL 500W of clean power sounds like.
