Sounds like Bill Clinton used to be a Republican. The rest of the dems used to talk like this also.

Don't get it twisted...Clinton was pretty far left until about halfway through his first term. I guess he realized it wasn't looking good for a second term and changed course being more open to working with the "opposition"

Yeah a lot of dumb shit happened during his administration...but at least he was willing to work with people instead of calling the other team evil...he was the last president to do so

Good point. They did want to socialize medicine. OTOH, he did campaign on Free Trade.

That was when there more moderates in Congress and they could work out compromises. Now Team Blue is "We're woke and the other guys are Fascists."

I don't like Clinton or much of what he accomplished. I wish I realized how rare working across the isle and not demonizing the other side was gonna become...I would've appreciated at least that part of his presidency more in the moment.

Yup give us what we want or else we will shut the government down. It doesn’t matter who’s in control both wings do it, but the left seem have less a moral compass. Also to add this pork belly bills is getting out of control. I don’t mind the government shutdown down for rest of the year besides it will save us some money and detox from the politics.
