I have 2 old school Rockford Fosgate Power 800 & 1000 amps, from 2000
Not the cleanest but still totally function fine...
The left rear channel on the 800 died ages ago so just tied in both rear coaxials into 1 channel.

I no longer have use for them...
Are they even worth throwing on craigslist?
If so, how much?

Im not attached to them, I dont think theyre gold bars.....;)
Give it to me straight...
I figured there really isnt a market for them.
Or maybe eBay is the spot, never sold anything on eBay...

Love these amps and they are fairly simple to repair (not the MOSFETs as they are soldered to strips, but otherwise easy to fix usually), for the right price they are worth someones time to fix up. Better chance on ebay for highest price than locally, although there is shipping and fees there. Doesn’t hurt to list them locally and see what offers you get. I use to buy a lot of non working amps to fix / sell on ebay, I have not in years and ebay is very different now, but use to be one of the faster ways to sell them. Locally stuff would sit for months, on ebay would sell first time to two listed. Check the sold listings on ebay for approximate current value in the "parts or not working" section and the "used" category. They are not worth a ton if they need repair, but they will still bring in a little bit, they were decent amps in their time. I'd guestimate $50 -$100 on the broken 800, $300+ on the 1000 if its fully working. These are basically old school / vintage amps these days, so do have value. Lower prices for faster sales. Get everything fully packed and boxed up before listing for sale on ebay, the shipping costs can be brutal if you don't enter box dimensions and all that in the system. I screwed up once or twice out of a few thousand sales, and had to eat most of my profit on the extra shipping cost for those items.

If you have all of the end caps, they are worth a decent amount by themselves as people seemed to lose them.

I always dreamed of having a pair of the chrome 1100a2's with the center link.

These guys are trying to get $675 on eBay & its in 2 carts when I viewed it....
Mine is in much better shape,
Yes, I can clean the aluminum easily with a scratch bright pad, his bottom is rusted out....

Yeah completed / sold listings are the key to look at, and find a ballpark based on condition. Granted there might not be a ton of sold listings for these, these days. I have an old 800a2 still in its original box like brand new, team RF stickers, birth sheet, manual, and all, I could list it for a million dollars, but unlikely to get that for it. I'm not selling it, just saying a lot of stuff that is "currently" available on ebay is often grossly overpriced, fishing for buyers. I still think $300+ is a in the ballpark for one of those with one end cap in fair shape. Could it bring in $400 or more, perhaps, don't know until you try.

Sure it is possible someone sees it, has the cash and buys it for 675, but that's a bit on the high side for a 1000 model.

List it for 1.5 so they can haggle ya down🤣
Good idea!!!

Which reminded me, years ago, I listed something for sale on CACO forum if I recall, I think it was some speaker parts cone / spider or something, I forget, was basically worthless other than shipping if someone wanted it, but I listed for a million as a joke and I quickly got in trouble for it by a mod or admin. They did not like that and made me put a real price. No wonder that forum is in the state it’s in now.

Guys driving out right now at 7pm, 30 minutes out....
Settled on 1.1m...;)
$300 for the 1000, & pretty much giving him the 800 for an extra $50 with the 1 dead channel.
Dont forsee alot of traffic on these so thats decent money for 25 year old amps...

Local offer-up ad is what did the trick.
Had it on eBay for $500, no dice.
