I suspect there is a reason why NY didn't make a criminal offense. Clearly they aren't concerned about the victims or the crime or NY would have made this a criminal offense and jailed the perps and made sure they were on ****** offenders lists.

Exactly...as easily as they extended the civil liability statue of limitations, they could've done the same for the criminal one and actually done something for victims of sa

I think I am 100% on board with Trump pardoning Jan 6th peaceful protestors. It sounds like a good, wholesome thing to do. Anyone think it is a bad idea?

Pardon them from what? The peaceful ones didn't get arrested or prosecuted.
Pardoning the guilty ones? Bad idea.
Why? It's sets a dangerous precedent. For example: Someone strikes a deal to do something bad to him, knowing that they will be pardoned by his successor if they get caught.
Sounds like the basis of a fiction novel, but much crazier things have happened.

Not to mention that the guilty ones attempted an overthrow of our government. Us Americans tend to not be fond of such actions.

41 month sentence. Tell me Rob, what did Jacob Chansley do that was not peaceful. You know, when he was being escorted by police calmly through the building. What was or were the acts of violence? Be specific.

Tell me, what actions did these people take to "attempt" to overthrow anything? Be specific. Did they hold law makers at knife point? Did they put law makers on their knees with guns to their heads? What were the specific actions taken by these people?

As I remember, nothing stopped and business continued in the capitol as normal once the guided tour was over.
