Presidential overreach IMHO. If the states are able to decide how abortion should be regulated, why not EVs? Personally, I like the idea of Cali being the guinea pig for EV infrastructure.

Is the way life is going to be forever, now?
Seems like for some people this is how they want to live perpetually. Crazy.

See you're like this judge, this was never going to Federal Court, so I have no . Keep in mind NY had to pass special law to get Trump. I'm unaware of any similar laws passed at the Federal Level, which would have allowed EJC to "get Trump."

I do find it odd that you can see when the right is trying to pile a bunch of baseliss shyt of Biden, but when it's Trump, you have a peculiar blind spot. You can't even acknowledge obvious things like groceries have ~doubled in prices post lock down or that this judge twisted and distorted language to suit a political narrative. TDS has gotten the better of you.
Do you know the why of it not going to federal court?
And are you suggesting the state of New York created a special law just to allow her to add the ****** assault to her case of defamation?

Yes, it's easy to see when the right is piling bullshit on, because they simply can never offer evidence or proof of what they claim. That's what makes it baseless shit.

But have you noticed that everything negative about Trump, no matter how much evidence exists, is always "fake news" or some conspiracy that the world is "our to get him"?

For **** sake, he lied so goddamn much, they made a database of it, and included the dates and places he did it, PLUS verifiable explanations of WHY it was a lie. You can literally watch VIDEO of him saying many of them, but his apologists will deny it to their death.
Shit, Spokey has argued for dozens of posts against a court decision that clearly says Trump ***** E Jean Caroll, and Thx will swear on a stack of bibles in front of the pontiff that import tariffs get paid by the exporting manufacturer, because Trump told him so.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is when you have your head so far up his ***, you will hear the man lie, and then swear to the lie yourself.

And no, my personal grocery expenses have not come close to doubling since the lockdown. But I don't use my personal grocery expenses to determine what anyone else is paying, any more than I use the temp outside my house to tell Thx he should put on a winter jacket.
I discuss the economy from a macro view, not a micro view..

Here are a handful of price comparisons from various sources (to avoid the whole "all fake to make Trump look bad" TDS argument) of common groceries. They compare 2020 (when prices tanked due to COVID recession) 2024, USA averages:

Beef 4.00 - 5.21 Commodities Exchanges
Sugar .16 - .20 Macrotrends Commodities charts
Milk 3.31 - 4.04 USDA
Cheddar Cheese 5.50 - 5.67 Wisc Farmer Assoc
Gas 2.40 - 3.18 AAA & Gasbuddy
Iceberg Lettuce - 1.34 - 1.43 St Louis FRED
Potatoes 182 - 168 Commodities Exchanges
Tomatoes 2.22 - 2.14 USDA
Cereals (2023 into 2024 only) Culled from Amazon

Prices have absolutely gone up since the recession. But the US average has not doubled, nor come close on these commonly bought goods. And recessionary pricing is really not something to crow about.

What are your buying habits, and how have they changed to result in you spending 2x as much at the grocery store today versus even the COVID price crush?
Honest question.

"On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders,”

"He is telling you who will pay the tariffs." In response to my repeated question of who will pay the import tariffs Trump wants to impose.
Oh, and Customs and Border Protection doesn't know what an importer is, just to keep denying Trump lied 🙄
"The actual importer. You just order the item so it can be imported. YOU ARE NOT THE IMPORTER JUST BECAUSE YOU ORDER IT ONLINE FROM CHINA."
Oh?

19 CFR § 101.1 - Definitions

It's not just a theory; it's a law.

Derangement, all right

TDS...

From 2022:

Are we looking at a nuclear event? Seems like a stage is being set for it.

F'n crazy. Seems to me we would already have drone counter measures, anti-drone drones, etc.

Everything Trump says is the apocalypse. He is going destroy the economy, he's going deport every brown person, he's going strip women of their rights, he's not going to vacate office, etc, etc, etc. Just when I thought the looney left couldn't get crazier, Trump got elected and it seems like 10-20% can see the light and the other 80% have gotten even crazier.

Women in particular have lost their minds. The women swear Trump = Handmaids Tale come to life. OTOH, in real life it was Biden, Harris & the Dems who didn't step up and pass legislation to protect abortion. They left it a state issue just as Trump said he will. Not only that, Trump has cautioned the GOP on restricting abortion access.

TDS is a strange affliction indeed.

I haven't noticed that everything negative about Trump is always "fake news." Ie, the right/anti-vax crowd aren't the first to bring up that Warp Speed is Trump's baby, I don't see them claiming it's "fake news." I don't think any of them claimed the negative things that happened at the border didn't happen, they just point out that a lot of that was happening Obama too, IIRC Obama deported more people than Trump. As a matter of fact, I've noticed the claims of "fake news" seem to have declined in the last year or so. At this point the liberal media outlets aren't reporting what might be considered news/fake news. They spent the election cycle projecting how Trump was going to destroy the environment; strip women & minorities of their rights and commit genocide against the LGBTQxyz community.

Interesting that we're shown a chart of the "some (of the cereals) that saw the sharpest reduction in price year over year." (see article the chart came from in link, clearly taken out of context). Not only are we ignoring the cereals that had increases in that same time period, but we're ignoring what everybody has been saying, which is that grocery prices are up ~200% post lockdown, not from jan 23 to feb 24. Note that that cereal chart doesn't break down to something like price/ounce so we can account for shrinkflation, so it's value is questionable.

Since I don't remember a big grocery price crash in 2020 I don't particularly care when they the price clock in 2019-2020. Furthermore, commodities prices don't equal the prices in the grocery store. Taking milk for example, I consistently paid ~$2/gal (loss leader?), now I consistently pay ~$4/gal. Ground Beef has gone from $5 to $9/lb. Coke has gone from $5 to $10/12oz 12 pack. Cornflakes have from $.27 to $.44/ounce. Broccoli has gone from .$79 to $1.71/lb. The thin cut chicken breasts I could get for $3/lb have jumped to $7/lb. Apples and bananas are the only things I can think of that haven't increase much in the past ~2.5 years. Additionally, I've changed my shopping habits, stocking up on meats when I catch a sale, buying cuts I normally wouldn't buy, etc. I can guarantee I'm spending way more than time looking for deals than the supposed 30 minutes additional wages/week that my groceries allegedly cost me now.

But this is just typical lefty/dem politics: deny everything the voting public is telling you if it doesn't fit the narrative. It's just a bunch of right wingers making this stuff up - 70 million of them. Keep in mind that I don't hold Biden accountable for inflation and to whatever extent Biden is responsible for inflation (via deficit spending), Trump was doing the same when he was in office.

Maybe you're unaware of the folks that have been documenting how much their Walmart cart from a few years ago have increased.

Democrats give a standing ovation for Trump policies back when they were Hillary Clinton policies. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The Dems didn't become rabid open border supporters until Trump said "build a wall." Prior to that Obama wasn't just letting everybody in. Now we can see the effects of Biden/Harris (the Border Czar) policies. National Guard policing subways in NY. Certain parts of Aurora are "controlled" by Venezuelan gangs, car theft is way up, rolling gun battles down major thoroughfares, even the "safe" neighborhoods aren't immune to the Venezuelan gang problem. Good job Harris & Co (reluctant to blame Joe considering his mental state).

I'm in the same boat. We literally bought chickens because it's cheaper to feed them than buying eggs 🤣

I'd say this site gives a pretty decent representation of what can be seen across the 'web when it comes to how the right reacts to info that paints Trump in a negative light.
I've pointed out a ton of stuff about him that is factual and easily verified. Supporters will fight to the virtual death to deny it, ignore it, or in some way push it the background.

Have the cries of "fake news" decreased? Maybe? Or have they been replaced?
I show a very clear instance of a Trump lie, and then someone blindly supporting that lie right on this site, and the response is that I'M the one with "TDS". I guess it's not calling it fake news, but is simply shouting "TDS" any different? Not so much.

That chart was actually the most popular cereals by purchase history. It was culled from Amazon Did they become most popular because the prices dropped? Not sure.
Did they reduce the size of the box by 70% do to shrinkflation? That would be a helluva change in order to get the doubling of price you are talking about.
That 18 ounce box of Cheerios would now have to be 6 ounces.

I referenced 2020 prices because they were actually the lower prices of the goods during Trump's term. I was giving him the benefit of a lower starting point to compare to today's prices. And the comparison still didn't yield a doubling of prices.
I knwo you are talking your personal price histories, but I am talking the country as a whole.
The stalemate is that you don't believe the data that is collected, compiled and presented to show what happens on average. Any discussion really becomes moot, as history is a lie and the only reality is what you pay today.

But this is just typical lefty/dem politics: deny everything the voting public is telling you if it doesn't fit the narrative. Before I read this part, I actually tried to look at a Walmart order I had from 2020. The system shows the order, then asks me to log in when I try to view details, then instantly times me out after I put in my super-secret 6-digit two-factor authentication code.
I'll try again later and post what I come up with, for shits and giggles.
