Trump is responsible for the shitty economy, 100%.
There are two things he did. First, Anyone who understands basic economics, and got through the first chapter can understand my explanation. You just need to know: supply, demand, cost, and opportunity cost.
When Covid was in it's high point, and the supply chain was next to gone, people had no supplies to buy. What trump did, and what no other president has done, is he TOLD the federal reserve to lower the prime rate, when they should have raised it. This brought the prime rate down to matching it's lowest percentage in history. This mean there was next to no penalty for some borrowing, and the lowest interest rates for everyone else. With no supply, and the smallest penalty, people were willing to buy up the last remaining supply in the chain, and were willing to pay more to do it. This is what caused inflation, because it was worth it for some to spend too much as opposed to losing everything. WHY WOULD HE DO THIS? Besides being a complete moron; because it gave him the quick boost to economy that he loves to brag about. Anyone that pays attention to the economy and can see two steps have, should have seen this coming. He now brags about increasing the economy, but doesn't include how that was in the short term, and that is the exact thing that caused this BS in the long term.
The second thing he did was closing the borders. He didn't just close them to immigrants wanting to move to America, he closed them to legal workers who cross the border on a daily basis. He put a halt to a very large percentage of seasonal immigrant labor. The first things that went up due to inflation we're fruit (especially strawberries), eggs, and wood. All stuff that requires heavily on seasonal immigrant labor. Fruit and eggs aren't just fruit and eggs. They are in drinks, and baking, in animal care, and I have never been to a restaurant that doesn't use either. Wood, do I need to go into this. This combined with the desire for people to have their own private space because of covid, is what drove the housing price increase. My own home has gone up in assessed value about 50% since the start of covid. A year ago, that was probably closer to 60%. These increases have forced people to NEED to be paid more and it's a snowballing effect that keeps going back and forth, until we can get enough supply in the chain, where costs are going to lower, and wages can then stop increasing.
Since it needs to be said for too many people these days. I'm not part of either BS, screwjob party. I have voted democrat for far too long, because it's the least worst option. trump is a 5 year old spoiled brat that has never been corrected, and never had to put in a hard day's work. Biden is too old to understand the needs of the country to progress, and doesn't understand basic technology that should have been used to help get the economy back. The small business loan was nonsense. Sorry, but most of them we're going to fail. It shouldn't have been about giving hundreds of thousands of dollars to small businesses that don't make that much, and would have failed without covid, they should have given thousands of dollars to individuals to make their own products. Think Etsy on a LARGE scale. Should have set up accounts with a cooperating bank, and had discounted and delayed payments on shipping through USPS, where they could have even gotten their money back. Those who make sales get postponements on taxes, and get increased funds as needed, (with a small percentage loan). What did it take him, two years just to raise the rate? What else has he done? NOW IF WERE BEING HONEST, THE GOP IN THE SENATE HAVE BEEN SCUMBAGS. They were and are still cowards, and care about their donors and the orange baby, and haven't wanted to work bipartisan on anything that's going to help America, and Americans.
Why wasn't there a massive effort for construction? For online education? Instead his big effort was to dismiss federal loans for school. WHY???? EXPLAIN THAT ONE. Low interest rates for people who made a choice to get an education/put off getting a job, and they get wiped clean? Did covid wipe out all the white collar jobs?
Remember when oil was high, then there was so much of it, that they were paying people to take the oil? Why didn't the govt work that out, and just stockpile it in one of the dakotas or somewhere? Why didn't they increase the national reserve to max capacity? Biden missed out on that one. They could have increased the supply from their end slowly to help with inflation, but nothing.
What most of us will never realize is if you have lots of money, you can make more money. When the rest of us are finally eating steak, or eating cat food, money can still make money. Everyone of em elected to office is worth and makes millions. Some of them care too, but don't leave out all the dirtbags in the Senate and the House that have contributed in dragging this out.

No, trump shouldn't tell the fed what to do, and they don't need him to do their job. Were you in a coma for four years? trump thought he could run the entire government all by himself, damn near tried to fire everyone else, and directed them to make that change.

Do you not acknowledge that during Trump's 4 years almost ALL democrats were actively working AGAINST the president of the united states? Do you think that employees should be able to act however they like towards or against their boss without consequences like being fired?

The fed is part of the government. They are supposed to be independently governed. They weren't.

Great now we have left wing conspiracies. Trump was really in control of the Fed. The things people come up with to blame their favorite villians: Clintons & Pizzagate, Trump running the Fed. Considering Fed expansion of the money supply dates back to 2009, was Trump controlling Fed back then?
