So let me get this straight. So it's not which lie was being told, but who was telling the lie. The anti-vaxxers who lied are given a pass because they aren't as powerful and influential as Fauci, Trump, et al? By that logic, I assume you supported having their twitter, youtube, etc posts scrubbed and accounts locked, since afterall the less influential the liar is the better and twitter, etc could spread a lie as effectively as a Fauci interview on MSNBC. That's an interesting way to justify one set of lies while ignoring the other.
My point is I wasn’t really talking about him initially, but whatever. I’d have to look at what else was being said in that context, and it definitely seems like an exaggeration. But once again, he’s a radio show host and not a gov official. The gov forced this on the people and lied and misled them the whole way. I’m concerned about those people who use our tax money to lie to us to line their pockets and gain power, like Fauci.

They forced it upon us? Anybody that wanted, including folks affected by mandates, could use the religion exemption. They may have had to tell a little white lie, but considering the falsehoods coming from both sides and the fact that everybody's told at least one little white lie, I don't think it's a big deal in this case. By the way Alex Jones lies to line his pockets as much as any of them...

Unfortunately it didn’t work everywhere or for all 🥺. I know people personally who had religious exemptions denied and either got fired or had to get the jab in order to keep their job. The messed up part is when finally they all woke up and said “maybe this forcing stuff isn’t right” and ended it, many of them still didn’t get hired back. Some of them got lawyers and took it to court and got their jobs back along with back pay. No matter how you look at it, it was all flucked up. I can understand mandating a vaccine that would actually stop something in its tracks but mandating it for something it can’t stop but is suppose to only increase survival in those who are suffering from immunity deficiency or who are really old. When you look at the numbers, majority of deaths are from the elderly. People that are 65 and older. When you look even deeper into the numbers majority of deaths are from people with severe health conditions to begin with. There is no doubt covid posed a risk but that risk wasn’t towards the majority of the population. Those that were at risk it was pretty clear not far into it. The issue I think many have is that billions of dollars was spent to come up with a vaccine, and when the government saw not everyone was jumping to get it, they came up with ways to try and force it. Then boosters came about which was more money spent, yet again they tried to force it harder. It seemed as the drug companies saw their cash cow coming to an end and put pressure on the government to buy more. Not saying that part is a fact but it sure seems like it’s possible. In the end I never got the jab, I got covid once and it wasn’t bad. The part that sucked the most was my sense of taste and smell. Things I loved the taste of taste like total shit for about 1-2 weeks. That was terrible 😅.

I never supported mandates and mandates only affected healthcare workers and Federal workers (IIRC). Anybody denied a religious exemption would, without a doubt, win their lawsuit. Mandating had nothing to do with the efficacy of the vaccine, that was Sleepy Joe & Company playing culture warriors.

The money pit it became is outrageous, both the money we tossed to big pharma and the money we tossed at just about anything that moved to avoid a recession that we didn't avoid, we only delayed. OTOH, nobody would have been happy with Trump or any other world leader coming out with "We're going to stand pat, just wear masks (which alot of people weren't willing to do) and we'll just ride this thing out and see what happens."

From the Cleveland Clinic:

‘Results. COVID-19 occurred in 1475 (3%) of 48 344 employees during the 100-day study period. The cumulative incidence of COVID-19 was lower in the “not up-to-date” than in the “up-to-date” state. On multivariable analysis, not being “up-to-date” with COVID-19 vaccination was associated with lower risk of COVID-19 (HR, 0.77; 95% C.I., 0.69-0.86; P-value, <0.001). Results were very similar when those 65 years and older were only considered “up-to-date” after receiving 2 doses of the bivalent vaccine. Conclusions. Since the XBB lineages became dominant, adults “not up-to-date” by the CDC definition have a lower risk of COVID-19 than those “up-to-date” on COVID-19 vaccination, bringing into question the value of this risk classification definition.’

Anyone wanna dispute how the Cleveland clinic found that those who stay up to date with their boosters (bivalent if I understand) are MORE likely to catch covid? Wow, those vaccines sure work 🤡

No, why would anybody dispute a perfectly good study? Are you saying this proves the vaccine didn't work?

That's a pretty shytty statement especially from a former Green Beret. I would think a soldier understands that 1) sometimes tough decisions have to be made and sometimes people die 2) that people dying from the jab isn't murder and 3) the vast majority of them took it willingly, with some idea that there were risks, it was new, under Emergency Use, etc. and 4) even if they were ill informed, they certainly had the opportunity to inform themselves.

Yes, Jim. If the taking of the bivalent vaccine for covid makes you more likely to catch covid, then absolutely yes, I would say the vaccine isn’t working, lol.
So you're saying that based on the Cleveland Clinic study. This is exactly what I'm talking about when it comes to you anti-vaxxers. A singular study that may have other explanations for the results (ie a bad batch of vax, improperly stored vax) and ignore all the rest of the science. Just like there is study somewhere that says ivermectin works, so we just ignore all the rest of the science. Science only counts when it supports a certain political agenda or narrative and when the science doesn't support your predetermined position, then it's fake science, they cooked the books, the vast conspiracy, etc. And the anti-vaxxers wonder why they're called "science deniers," booted off platforms and generally not taken seriously.

Based on a lot of research, not just that one study. It’s funny you say biases blah blah and proceed to judge people based on biased blah blah. It’s barely worth the argument, because that’s just a lame group-think response. A huge “anti-vaxxer” is a presidential candidate, so that seems pretty serious. If they aren’t taken seriously, then why are they so lovingly being censored? You took an oath to the constitution, so do you support censorship of speech? Sounds like it.

Which is why it is very important to understand that not all science is based in 100% fact. It’s a methodology based on evidence and not all the evidence that is used is 100% iron clad. There is a lot of hypothesis, and when it comes to medicine it all changes in time which is why the average drug from time to discovery to fda approval is 11 years. We will see the hypothesis change with time just like we did with other medicines. Which side is correct? Only time will tell us that answer!
