If more abortions mean fewer kids on welfare and (by your own statement) most of the abortions are performed in blue states...that assumes a higher likelihood of the aborted children would've been welfare dependent...which in turm would present the argument (by your own statement) that children in blue states are more likely to be on welfare...

Or there is another factor, such as easier access to abortion in blue states and/or less social pressure to avoid abortion.

Not sure wtf elements of the left are thinking. clearly crime is up in areas where law enforcement is lacking. We should definitely look at solutions outside of locking people up, but that doesn't mean we stop locking criminals up.
