You have a degree in biology where you studied anatomy extensively, yet you think there are no nerves in bones. I took basic anatomy and physiology and I know there ARE nerves in bones.

Are you sure you know there are nerves in the bones? I know I posted some images showing nerves in the bone, but neither you nor I were there to witness the imaging. If "they" can poof up 7+ million votes out of thin air, why can't somebody photoshop some medical imaging? Did you participate in the Fantastic Voyage and see nerves in bones first hand?

These docs don't think it's "nerves" that transmit pain following a fracture, but rather it's "C-fibers." Clearly the medical community doesn't agree that there are nerves in bones (see links). Think about it, what possible purpose would nerves serve in bones?

In contrast, the dull aching pain following injury, bruising, or stabilization of the fractured bone is probably driven by the unmyelinated C-fibers present in the periosteum, marrow, and mineralized bone (Martin et al., 2007; Jimenez-Andrade et al., 2009).
