Ahhh, that old belief in “coincidence with perfect timing”.Nope that's your interpretation of his reasoning...considering long before Trump was a political figure Paul was against infringement of people's rights...it's reasonable to assume that's why he wanted to repeal the act...but since your so stuck on Trump...there can be no other reason in your mind...
Like the restaurant that suddenly burns down when the owner hasn’t paid his gambling debts.
If you’re that naive, you should be embarrassed. And if you’re just pretending, that’s a really dumb thing to pretend to be.
Which is it?
"The espionage act was abused from the beginning to jail dissenters of WWI. It is long past time to repeal this egregious affront to the 1st Amendment," Paul wrote.
The statement comes less than a week after the FBI search at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla. Investigators took multiple sets of classified documents from the property. The search warrant lists three laws that appear central to the federal investigation, including one that's part of the Espionage Act”
“This would be the first time in U.S. history that a former president has been known to be investigated under the Espionage Act,”
Yep. Paul has been working on this idea all along and finally was prepared enough to suggest it publicly a week after it’s known Trump will be investigated under the Espionage Act.
