Me too from what I understand of the case the guy was garbage...but framing him as a representative of the Trump base is also garbage

Because he did a lot of shitt wrong that night. I don't care about the records of the guys he murdered. He didn't know their records when he was killing them. I guess that you are ok with the video of him beating up a girl weeks earlier. I'm glad it wasn't your sister or daughter. It's interesting that you dismiss the records of the guys Rittenhouse shot, but you bring up that Rittenhouse beat up a girl - show some consistency. Those fellas got shot not because of their pasts or because of Rittenhouse's past - they got shot because they attempted to assault a person who was armed with an assault rifle. You're stupid enough to chase a person armed with an assault rifle, while yelling "get him," then I think we're all better off with your sperm eliminated from the gene pool. There were no technicalities and Rittenhouse didn't get away with anything. There was video and it exonerated Rittenhouse by a country mile.
