What should the punishment be? Should their kids be taken away and put them in jail for five years? Just curious. We can all say that it is wrong in our minds and that we would never do it. What should the punishment be?

I said who is going to be the judge? I don't agree with how a lot of parents raise their kids but it's not my job to get into their business. Are we all going to be like playground tattle tells and run to the Police from now on? I'm just curious how far this goes. Are we going to take kids away from their parents? Are we going to put parents in jail?

We do take kids from parents and parents are put in jail. Nobody (to my knowledge) has suggested jailing these particular parents. I said the business should lose their liquor license or pay a hefty fine. DeSantis is looking into taking that business's liquor license for their irresponsible behavior. That seems like a pretty good place to the draw line IMHO.

There's another way to look at it...none of those are the purview of the fed govt...kicking them to the state level is more in line with the founding documents...

And no I don't care if somebody chooses to use contraceptives or who somebody wants to marry...it don't affect me none...I am all for the feds not being able to legislate outside the expressed limitations of the constitution though...

You can't kick them down to the states because marriage is recognized across state lines - ie a married couple in Texas don't cease to married when the move to Montana. That's how ghey marriage ended up in the USSC in the first place.
