This is true. We didn't grow up with much and in a crappy neighborhood. I chose to move from that area and look for different opportunities. Now I'm doing pretty well for myself.

Civil rights would've passed in 1866 had it not been vetoed by a democrat president...the '64 bill was filibuster for over 2 months by democrats...so please don't use that bill as in any fashion for your argument since you apparently root for the same party that tried to deny civil rights...

Is the "Green Deal" bad when it's Trump extending tax breaks for green energy or just when Biden and Company do it?

I am assuming context, based on what they were discussing. I certainly think my assumption requires a lot less of jump in logic than the one you're assuming.

Our gov't is only supposed to serve our constitutional republic is another one of those platitudes that works in some hypothetical bubble in the ivory towers at conservative think tanks, just like socialism or capitalism sounds great on paper, but are shitshows in the real world. In the real world our gov't has to work with communist one hand, while fighting them with the other. In the real world, Donald Trump has to free a bunch Taliban fighters to fight ISIS, when the whole point of invading Afghanistan was to overthrow the Taliban.

You do realize the parties change quiet a bit over time. For example, abortion wasn't a party line issue until Reagan. In the 60s it was the Dems who started a ridiculous war based on lies and deception and a republican pulled us out of it. 40 years later, those role reversed, although Trump deserves (some/majority) credit for getting us out of Afghanistan. Go Trump!!!
