2/3 surround, 1/3 cone - Yeah that is a little crazy, it was the first thing I noticed when I opened the package up. I always assumed that it gave the sub more control or something!?
love that sub......... i think the xmax is 1.5" one way....... but the cone is like the size of a 8 but it can take some serious abuse and it can get very loud, with damn good sq.
hey danfortner if you can get the right size box and ports and you if you can build boxes a vented box would make it louder and still remain very clean sounding..
