yes they do sound nice, and no they are not my first system. my first system was 2 kenwood twelves and a kenwood 450 watt monoblock amp. but that goy jacked out of my car. then i had 2 sony 12's(yes i know sony sux, thats why i got rid of them) powerd by a legacy 1000watt amp.

bass_head dont say a word about systems and how you think yours is loud and pounds, if you like it thats cool but no matter how many pyramids you have runnin off whatever amps you have it will still SOUND LIKE ****. i wouldn't pay for that ****, and if i did it would be to give them 120v. and thats what you need to do with urs. bassinstangs stuff is alright at least it dosent say pyramid on it.HAHAHAHA
