Dude i think that it is definatly diferent.. i think that you could the static go away by getting a sound dampener or you have soemthing hooked up wrong because there shouldn't be static.. Bu ti understand what you mean about people talking about it i don't blame ya but there are some suggestions if you want to get rid of the static..
Putting 6x9 three ways in your trunk,mounted on a sub enclosure, is totally defeating thier purpose! There is no way to hear the mid-base when it's being drowned out by the sub. If u want your system to sound natural you should stage it just like you would see a band set up, with the low frequencies in the rear working your way up to your highs. That way all your speakers will blend in NATURALLY and your lows won't sound so abrupt.
