Weak Radio signal

Did the car side of the harness have a solid blue wire? and if so, did you connect it?

In general, tho, aftermarket radio's have weaker reception.

A lot of cars that have the antenna in the rear window, have an RF amplifier. The amp needs power. Mine id up by the back window, hidden above the roof panel.

My Alpine HU only put out antenna power for one minute after turn on, like for raising a power antenna.

I powerered my RF pre-amp through the relay that that turns on the amps. The blue wire, like he said.
