The Saturn: Can't stop there. (Dual 18's upgrade)

Yea, the trunk definitely wont stay open without the tension bars in place...the trunk lid is dramatically heavier seeming and will slam shut just by opening it 8 inches and letting go, lol.

"Your Not a DBdrager if every panel on your car doent weigh at least 20lb more then stock"...lol
Haha, when I get the money I hope to finally get a double-layer of damplifier pro on everything upfront...especially the ceiling around the sunroof and small hump for the lights and sunroof control...that needs to quiet down, its annoying

looks sick.

Get to work I want more pictures asap lol

Everything looks good so far, but what is the name of the jig for drilling the holes at an angle, I know you posted a picture but do you have a link to where you got it?

even on my trunk when i took em off it wouldn't stay open with the dynamat of there.. i took it off as i am sealing forward and it still wont stay open.. the pop trunk doesn't work cuz the trunk is to heavy to pop up so i have to do it by key

Kregs makes a jig for it but there's a more generic one they sell at home depot, which is the one im using...it's made things pretty darn easy...it was $20 i believe

With dynamat and torsion bars my trunk pops up about 1" and thats it. I guess the bars are adjustable which I'm going to look into doing soon now that its nice out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Coming along nicely.

The amp will be in the back of the trunk for this setup so the fusing, wires, etc for the amp had to be moved a bit..

DSCN3107.jpg

^Didnt really show much of what I did, but I just turned the ground run for the amp around on the busbar so it faced the direction the amp will be...and just took the power runs off until I get more done in the trunk

Angled piece cut for the 'step' into the trunk..
