So I had pioneer 4x6s in my dash and in my rear panels in my 92 sierra and they were working fine. Then I got some tweeters and split the 4x6 wire to power the tweeters. Probably a month or two later I started to hear some static. The weird thing is the static would only occur in a certain spot of the song and wasn't random. It only occurred in certain songs as well. I replaced the speakers with infinity reference speakers and replaced the tweeters. It's still there. I've taken out my pioneer deck and all the wires are connected securely. Not sure if this important but if one of my 4x6s shorts out, all of my speakers short. The subs still work though. I had the speakers installed by a shop.. anyways I'm out of ideas. I could use some help.

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.

Speaker ratings are generally a thermal/mechanical limitation of the drivers. Music is dynamic, not continuous. During quiet periods a song, you...
