That is one of the many reasons why there is no other choice. Thanks Don - I really appreciate all your information. I will plan to get with you in a couple of weeks to place an order.
I've done an array of treatments on my front doors, some of which include products from Don. I have his CCF, MLV, and the 3M Thinsulate Acoustic. I did some write-ups and a video on the site in my signature if anyone wants another perspective. The 3 products from SDS I mentioned made the most pleasing differences. The barrier of MLV helped my midbass response and I heard a reduction in outside noise from that, and a further reduction in outside noise when I added the Thinsulate Acoustic. Not treating the rear doors will make a difference in the same way that not treating the roof, floor, trunk/cargo area will make a difference. It's a slippery slope and it's fairly easy to convince yourself that it isn't worth doing anything unless you do everything. Treating just the front doors are almost always the best bang for the buck in noise reduction and that goes double if there are speakers in the front doors.
