SOLD Ring Terminals 1/0 2/0 4/0

I bought a bunch of this stuff in bulk to do a few builds, and I'm now finished. Was wanting to get rid of some of this.

I purchased the pink connectors from an electrical supply store as 1/0, but I was having a VERY difficult time getting the Kicker Hyperflex to get in there. I had to snip about a quarter of the wire off just to get it in. So I then ordered the 4/0 (purple) and it slid right in. I smashed it flat in my vice, then used a centerpunch in the middle of it for a lil added security.

From my experience, not all 1/0 wiring is the same. Some Scosche (spelling??) 1/0 slid easily into the pink connectors, whereas it just wasn't happening with the Kicker Hyperflex. With that being said, I've taken the liberty of including the ID (inside diameter) of the terminals to avoid you buying something that isn't going to work with your wire:

Pink 7/16" inside diameter Ring hole diameter is 3/8"

Purple 9/16" inside diameter Ring hole diameter is 3/8"

Yellow 11/16" inside diameter Ring hole diameter is 1/2"

Let me apologize aforehand for the quality of the pictures. Digital camera's on the fritz...had to take pics with my phone.

These terminals are copper, with a painted coating to prevent corrosion. If needed, I can get a cross cut picture on here. Just let me know.

I will sell and ship in multiples of 5.

Pink-$5 shipped CONUS

Purple-$6 shipped CONUS

Yellow-$8 shipped CONUS

The only trades I will consider is a NSB-90 (+ $$ on my end of course), some 3.5" speakers or some fiberglass material (mat, resin, etc.). I want to try my first fiberglass project--some speakers on the dash of my CRX.

Your Hyperflex didn't fit because it's not true 1/0, most caraudio wire is oversized because they think that will help them sell more but it makes it hard as hell to fit into standard sized connectors. If you had bought some 1/0 welding cable it would have fit no problem.

That being said, good luck with the sale man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I would buy some if I didn't already have a bunch left over my last build...

Hello Seller/

Just wondering on the Color Code Terminal Stripes, and after looking at my Interstate

Battery and Welding Cataloug Accessories, the Stripes on their Terminals are:

1/0-PINK

2/0-ORANGE

3/0-PURPLE

IIRC,These color codes are Standard Requirements by law for Every manufacturer of Ring Terminals

There are[As I'm sure you know and have seen from your Store]some other color stripes for

other gauge ring terminals, besides the ones you haved. This was to Standardize the Terminals Sizes.

But this was also told to me by Battery accessory Reps.Maybe things have changed, and I could be wrong

with this too...I'm interested in some 2/0 Ring Terminals.Maybe 10/Pieces

Do your Terminal have 2/0 stamped on it? If so,what the Color please? Looking for 3/8" Stud Hole, possibly.

Thank You for your:Time/Help & Response.

Regards/

Raymond

The purple ones are stamped by the manufacturer as 4/0, but the ID is 9/16", which fits my 1/0 Hyperflex perfectly....well, there's a lil slack, which lets the cable slide in easily, then after I am finished with the vice and centerpunch, there are NO problems.

The pink ones are stamped by the manufacturer as 1/0.

The yellow ones are stamped by the manufacturer as 6/0.

If they stamped them outside of the parameters of the "law," then that's not at all my fault.

I've included IDs for these connectors to avoid any confusion. I consider that just part of business ethics. I wish the original seller of these terminals would have notified me of the IDs. Then I wouldn't have initially ordered the wrong ones, and I wouldn't have this for sale thread going on.

Measurements are included in the original post, as well as in this one. Take a measurement of the copper of your wire. For example, if it comes out to 1/2", then I would suggest getting the purple ones, regardless of what your beloved Interstate catalog states or what size is stamped on your wire.

Sorry if I am coming off like an azz, but I don't take kindly to someone trying to dump on my thread, then want to make an order.

Hello Armed & Stupid/

First off,I wasn't dumpin' on your Thread/For Sale/Etc.I was trying to tell you what I have read.

To help you.Evidentally, you didn't read the response.Wasn't trashin' you.So if the Terminals are

stamped 1/0 & 6/0 than I guess that's what gauge Cable they're meant for. These are for Welding Cable.

I saw the Title in your Sale thrd. as 1/0-2/0-4/0.I was interested,'cause I thought it was for 2/0 Cable.

Some People here need to take the *Chip off Their Shoulder*......
