The factory 6x8 subs in my Lincoln LS have gone out. They're rated at 2 ohms, and I was wondering if I could replace them with 4 ohm subs.

Is it a relatively large difference? Is there a company that makes wire harnesses to replace stock amps instead of running all new wire?

Just bypass the factory amp altogether.

It still isn't 100% finished, but it'll get there eventually.

Sorry for hijacking OPs thread, but by bypassing the stock amp you would just unplug it, correct?

just unplug the factory amp strip back the speaker wires wrap and solder. go to the12volt.com to get ur wire colors...
