Well my father picked up a original 71 F100 with a 390 for a project truck a while back. Going for a mix between original and the muscle look with this one. I dont have any pics of it when it first arrived. We tore the motor out and had it freshened up and added all new gaskets from Mr. Gasket. This build will be kind of slow during the winter months but will pickup when it starts to warm up outside.

The original condition besides the rims/tires

The motor as it was taken out and freshened up.. New gaskets, paint, and ford racing valve covers with a 750cfm carb. Engine bay painted and motor reinstalled.

thanks, im going to buy a aluminum intake and install it instead of that heavy 70lb cast iron intake. Ive installed it about 5 times and it still has a oil leak around the edge... Theres no way to get that heavy ass thing on straight without messing up the gaskets lol

This truck doesnt have any rust what so ever pretty much. The surface rust in the bed is the worst part. Its in very nice condition compared to most. Heres a pic from our last 72 we restored and sold about 6 months ago.

nice man. what did yall pay for that 71? what did the 72 sell for? thats really good work/
I think we paid right about $750 for the 71 and with the economy the 72 didnt bring much, sold it for $2600 just because the father was wanting some money
