HX2 box

Hey guys, i have a 15" Punch hx2 and right now it is in a sealed box that is 2.5 cuft before i put the speaker in. I am wanting to build the best box for spl... and still maintain the sq. I was wondering what you guys think would be the best box to build. I have about a sheet and a half of mdf. I know the port should be 4"x8" so if i port it that way i would get a lightning audio aeroport. I was also wondering about slot vented boxes.

i'd go ported...2.5ft^3 after sub..tuned to 35hz...just like rf recommends

They recomend a 4 inch port thats 8 inches long. How do i tune the port? or is it somthing that happens at a certain length/width? thanks

Tuning is decided by the volume of the box and the size of the port. I'd suggest a slot port though, talk to Jmac, helping out with enclosures is his specialty.
