it was my first try , thought it truned out pretty well

 
you can use wood or foam works well too. just gotta make sure you shape it nicely or you wil see all the imperfections through the vynal. carpit will cover better, but its harder to work with.

to attach the material down, you gotta heat the material and use some good glue. take your time and expect to have trouble with it, lol.
