I had 2 JL audio 12w3v3-4 powered by jl audio 500/1i want to get my boom for my competitions i hit 134db with that system

i heard that the jl audio w7 are the best subwoofer in the business and i was going to buy two of the 13w7 powered by two jl audio 1000/1 what do u think is there better subs available

i want to get up too 160db range
first of all 160 is gunna be hard to hit with w7's, but not that it isn't possible... there's been people to hit 160's with a single 10... but it's kinda a waste, you pay big bucks for a JL because of it's flat responce while getting loud, which is the goal of the street listener, not the SPL competitior... so there are def. better choices for pure SPL out there, like DD fer example...

but a buddy of mine has 3 13w7's on 3 1000/1's and he hit 156.5 on the TL but his isn't a pure SPL setup, it sounds AMAZING on music it's like orgazmic

SI makes nice subs. I'm an XBL guy myself, but I tend to listen to neutral/flat sounding drivers in general.

These are also very good drivers, some of the best bang for the busk on shallow mounts. DD Audio SL610-D2 10"...

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...
