I have a 800x4 amp on a 06 sienna, i was thinking of adding a 400x1 amp only for a subwoofer but im not sure if my car would handle the power without changing battery or upgrading the alternator, what ya think!?
Thank you i have a taramps 800x4 and was planning on adding a taramps 400x1 for sub only but thank you for the options, ill see reviews on themI would not worry about that at all as long as you have a 4 gauge OFC or better feed from the battery. This is a great amp for the $$
And another budget gem
Like I mentioend, 200x4 at 2 ohms or 2x200 4ohms bridged.Thank you i have a taramps 800x4 and was planning on adding a taramps 400x1 for sub only but thank you for the options, ill see reviews on them
I have it as 4x136w and have a voltage of 13.3 , So It Would Be Fine Upgrading To A 4 Gauge With A 4 To 2 8 Gauge Distribution For BothLike I mentioend, 200x4 at 2 ohms or 2x200 4ohms bridged.
The Taramps 800.4 is not a 4x800 watt amplifier.
RMS @ 4 ohms 4 x 136W - 2 Channel Bridged: 4 Ohms 400W RMS (2 x 400W RMS)
For the record, I own the BASS400 Taramps, use it on my testbed (see at top of picture). Nice little amp but I also have a constant 13.9 voltage feed.
The stinger is by far the install friendly option and both it and the recoil are not as voltage sensitive as the Taramps is. The recoil is in my grandsons car, powering a single DVC 12" NVX sub. We hooked his entire setup fed by a standard OFC 4 gauge kit +/- cable run from the battery to under his fronts seats, no issue on stock alternator at all.
That is correct.I have it as 4x136w and have a voltage of 13.3 , So It Would Be Fine Upgrading To A 4 Gauge With A 4 To 2 8 Gauge Distribution For Both
