go to the ignition harness for your switched 12v source

does that wire provide 12v tho when its in acc and not just ign?

the colbalt doesn't have an acc pwr source at the factory radio harness location, a switched 12v source much be located, i usualy tap a relay from the ign. harness and use that.

the only wire that provides 12v only when in radio that i know of is the pwr antenna wire, so without a pwr antenna wire your goign to have to use a 12v acc

as your programming the tach, lightly rev the engine up so the tach signalit see's is already high, therefore, any slight over revs from start-up wont be seen as high an shut the vehicle down

realistically, almost all cars's door pins need to be diode isolated, i dont really remember the last alarm i did which didn't require any diodes at all and as far as the bulldog goes, thats just for their alarm system, i had one of those bad boys way back in the day, but a REMOTE start/ alarm...

the epicenter requires a full range signal to perform at its best, if the sub out on your deck isn't full range then you would be lacking some of the potential quality that the epic has to offer
