just try to get the subs if that all you need.

why buy the amp also if you dont need it, then its your problem to resale.

get the three jl's for 150-200 and call it a day.

if i were u, id buy the jl setup and sell it. guarentee you can get atleast 500 for it, but 450 for the three 12's and that 500/1 is a very good deal. as far as going against a 12" type r, i think the three 12's will win in the sq part, but spl wise, you would need to port the 3 of them to see a significant difference. i have heard the w1's and they dont get loud at all

my friend runs 2, sealed 10w1's in his small s-10 with a punch 60.

shakes my eyeballs and makes my nose itchy.

If you want to compare the Type R's in sealed to 3) 12W1's in an efficient ported design, there is no comparison. The JL's will eat the pair of R's for dinner. Especially if they are on about 500w from the JL amp. The price is good, you'd just have to ditch the enclosure. I'm sure someone would buy the JL box. 7.5 cubic feet box w/120 square inch vent x 16" long. They'll beat your @ss to sleep.
