i have heard many things, they g0od, they suk, no quality, yes quality, wuts up...

Well ive heard alot of audiobahn here and there even saw there demo car blow a sub. SQ can be fixed with a good install just like the Kicker L5&L7 which some say sound sloppy. There not bad subs

Don't buy any sub based on what other people tell you. Screw them. They're not the one that will be driving around listening to it for the next year. Go listen to it and if you think it's a good deal, buy it.

around my way, no one really has much to offer, and the last thing i wanna do is go to best buy or circuit city and set foot in there car audio section...

so i seek advice, i have 2 dd3512...but my brother is in the market for new subs, and he saw some audiobahn, so i was just curious...

By my calculation that's $1368 INTERNET PRICE BEFORE SHIPPING for just the sub and amp combo.

My amp cost $285 shipped, and my sub was $110 shipped. That's $395.

I paid $973 less than him and he's only beating me by 1.8 db's.......

For $973 I could buy two more JBL 1200.1's ($570), and have enough left over to buy three more subs ($330). That's 3600 rated watts, 5 subwoofers (seeing 720w each!) shipped to my house and still have $73 in my pocket for gas......do you think that could maybe gain me 1.8 db's?

So by my calculations it's like this..

Your 395 minus my 265 = $130 you paid extra.

But I can take the same sub out ot the SQ box and place it in the SPL box (ported to the int. Res. Freq. on the car (62Hz) and hit 152.9.

Runnig a 4 ohm load so if you combine the VC it's 1000 watts rms.

Just trying to show that no matter how much you pay (lesser amount hopefully) you can have a good install if you read this board.

when comparing the MECA Linear X... to the Usaci Region 3 Audiocontrol... there around a 5 db difference... Linear X is very tough... lol

I would say yes to the audiobahn for your brother. They are not a bad sub for the price and if (probably does) want alot of bass then go with the bahns.....fosgate can compare there also the audiobahn 120q verse the fosgate he2 12
