help with juggy 15

i am looking at the mmats juggy 15. what amp would go best with that sub? mmats recomends their DHC 1400.05. would a jbl 1200.1 push it as good? how much is a juggy 15 new? their amps cost???

I wouldn't reccomend a 1200.1 for the Juggernaut... dual 1.4 ohm coils wouldn't give a benefical impedence to the amp...

The 15" runs around $550-600 online.. Shop price is probably closer to $700-$750..

The 1400.05 runs around $650-$700 online.. $800-$850 in a shop..

well audiobahn are pretty sweet in the right box, I would suddest a RE SE 15(kinda sloppy) elementals designs K 15s kicker comp VR(not as loud as the others) audiobahn makes loud subs the ALUM, IMO is a very nice sub.

well thanks guys, RangerMan pointed me toward ED originally and i didnt really trust that they were good but then i talked to Ben and they seem like the best SPL/SQ sub for the $$$ i can spend. i will go with an e15k.

now the question is dual 2 ohm, or dual 4 ohm.

is the "300 Watts rms" per voice coil?

on another note, i would like to run the subs at 4 ohms so i would naturally get the d2's, but i am planning on getting a JBL 600.1 in a year or so, and i want to run it at 2 ohms. could i wire the d4's to be 4 ohms? the d2's to 2 ohms?

What do you want them to have 600 watts??? I would go with the d2s, b/c you could wire them in series for 4 ohms (300w) and parrallel an 1 ohm (600w). Just my little thoughts...

could i wire them in series parallel to get 2 ohms out of the d2's? i only want 2 ohms for the JBL because ive heard that they get really hot at 1 ohm. if series parallel is an option could you explain it to me?

you cant wire it like that... and the 600.1 will be just fine at 1 ohm..
