i need a new amp for my eD 15A and i was looking at getting soundstream. money isnt a problem, im just wondering if theres such a big difference between the VGA800.2 and the XTA800.2? or if it would really be worth it to get the 1600.2. im also open to other options, im mainly looking for something highend that will push my 15A between 800w and 1600w. In the price range of under $450

That's quit a big range there. Assuming the 15A can handle 1600w (I have no idea if it can or not)....theoretically there would be a 3db difference between 800w & 1600w. 3db is pretty noticeable IMO.

i no that, but i was looking at the difference between the 2 800w amps first, and as an option the 1600.2

i went with a hifonic bx1500 instead

I know the Van Gogh are original Soundstream designs as opposed to the Xstream- which shares Power Accoustics components( cheap)

The VanGogh will push and control that sub better/cleaner and assure you more than rated power
