is there anyone around the OKC area that is willing to hook up my 20.1 and test for me to see if it actually works, and outputs power? i traded my 860mp off thinking it had dead pre-outs, cuz the sub wasn't producing sound and i got readings from the amp with a dmm but they were kinda screwy so i'm kinda worried. but the tradeee said the pre-outs worked just fine. so i need someone to let me test it out in their vehicle preferrably if possible monday or tuesday. 1 shop charged me $30/hr to test my tantrum 1200.1 which was fried. i really can't afford to dish out to shops right now. can anyone help me? won't take very long at all. thanks. and fyi, NO I DO NOT HAVE POWER WIRE RAN YET as i pulled my 4 gauge out to replace with 1/0 but couldn't find the big drill bit (or any drill bits in our garage at that time). that's why i'm asking. thanks.

i always dealt with audio midwest when i was out there. try giving them a call to see what they say. they were always helpful and nice to deal with.

last time i went up there, one of the guys told me that the jl 1000/1 was the only amp i could use for my 13w7 cuz of the impedence load when i brought up using a pg tantrum1200.1. i could've gotten it for $750 iirc.

idk. i just really don't have the money to pay a shop for diagnostics/hr even if it's a fee and not hourly. i know there's ppl around the okc area, they just don't frequent this board as much.

i wouldnt pay, either.

there is a car audio/pawn shop on SE 15th in midwest city, I THINK its after Sooner, but it could be after Bryant on the left as you are going west. it's next to a 7-11. anyway, they used to have a little bench setup for testing amps, too. they might do it for the lowski. it might be worth a shot. good luck. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i'm in Gainesville, TX. 7mi south of OK border (down 35). If you want to drive and meet me at my work you are more than welcome. i'm finishing new wiring on my truck so i know eveything is up to par (knu 1/0, 12awg speaker, RCAs). I have a box we can use with my XXX or a free air XXX as well, so either way.

why don't you just stick the amp on a table and run power wire to the amp from the battery?

because then that requires me to cut the wire to add the fuse block (which i don't wanna do just yet in case i don't cut it where i need to) and then i gotta lug my 90+lb sub and box out there. and then i'd have to buy some rca extensions or new rcas to run to the amp outside of my car. i'd like to do this without spending money. too much work as opposed to finding someone i can just plop it in their vehicle that's all wired up and just plug and play. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif and i kno it powers on but i'm more concerned about it outputting power.
