Alright, I am wiring up two amps in the next couple weeks but not being a professional, I have a question or two.. I have a couple kits here, an 8 gauge and a 4 gauge. Each with about 18' of power wire and 4 foot of ground.. The amps are an alpine t757 and a rockford fosgate 4.6X. The manual for the t757 reccomends 6-8 gauge power wire, and the RF amp says to use 10 gauge. I was thinking I would run the 4 gauge power cable from the battery(GM sidemount battery, going to pick up an extended adapter) to a power distrobution block and then run two 8 gauges(6 gauge to the t757 if I can find the wire around here) from the block to each amp.. Hows this sound? I am going to be installing a capacitor eventually too, but for now its just the two amps.. If I am doing anything wrong please let me know, im still learning and welcome all advice! Thanks a lot, Lurius PS: This is being installed on a 2004 Silverado extended cab, the amp rack will be mounted to the rear cab behind the seat(modified to fold forward). The Alpine is 750W(under rated a bit) and the RF amp is 300W, incase this helps.
