Your going to be using MP3s anyways so you might not notice with DVD's I would guess you will depending on the components your using "speakers, amps RCA's" because your still only going to have as good of quality as what the jenson is sampling from the dvd converting it from dig. to anolog to digital to anolog back to digital in the amp then to anolog to the speaker as they say there is such a thing as over prossesing and using low quality products when doing so only makes it worsepersonal opinion. Then again I am one of the people who say I can hear a difrence in quality do to the amp even when I am using a active x over before the amp so....</blockquote>
