Howdy y'all, starting a build, and I'm concerned about heat from my amp given the location I've got planned out for it. It'll effectively be sitting in a cabinet, and I'm planning to cut a hole out in the top and using two PC fans as exhaust fans to try to keep it cool. My question comes down to wiring, and I'd really like to run it past y'all to either see if it works and find other solutions if it wouldn't. Here's some truly awful MS Paint work to show what I'm thinking. Red = Positive Blue = Remote Black = Ground Green = Relay Connectors In words, because I **** at MS Paint, and I don't know how to draw electrical diagrams; My plan is to wire the pos, rem, grnd from the amp to the relay. The powered output from the relay, split to power the fans, the negatives from the fans combined and grounded at the amp's connector. The goal is simply to power the fans, and have them kick on when the amp turns on. Ah, and the reasoning for the location is that I'm building the enclosure for the amp across the entire span of the cargo area, with the sub kinda centered, with a separate cabinet to the side for the amp to sit in. The whole thing being upholstered, trying to keep it relatively stealthy, and trying to maintain a good amount of cargo space.
