Hi guys, I have a 95 tahoe, I am wondering what guage wire to use. I have always used 4 guage but have nerver had so much power. I have upgraded my alternator to a 280 amp, adding 2 yellow top batteries, a 15 farad cap, of course the big three wiring upgrade(bat ground, alternator ground, alternator to bat). I have a crown/jbl bpx2200.1 and two brahma 15's(on order anyway) a jl 300x4 for the jl components, alpine cd and a symmetry. Is 4 guage enough, I was thinking of adding another 4 guage. My theory always was your system is only as good as its weekest link I figure the bigger the wire you go the bottle neck is till in the thin crimp on connectors. So two 4 guage connectors would be thicker than one 2 guage. Give me some ideas. Thanks
