Message: <blockquote data-quote="Dallas_Guy13" data-source="post: 1020688" data-attributes="member: 560710"><p>I am in the process of building a fiberglass box for my dodge ram.  I have completed the fiberglass and the box is almost finished.  I have one slight problem.  I am installing 2 audiobahn 12" compression piston subs dual voice coil.  They take 1200 watts RMS each so I have 2 amps putting out 1200 watts RMS each.  My first question is what gauge wire will I need to run for each sub.  Also what gauge wire will I need to run from the battery to the amp.  I will have to run the battery to amp wire about 10 feet.  The amp to sub wires will run about 5 feet.  I was told 1/0 was necessary.  I have also heard suggestions on a 1.5 farad stiffening capacitor for each amp and getting a bigger alternator.  I could really use some help on this.  This will cost me a small fortune.</p></blockquote><p></p>
