If I wire a 1200 Watt amp to two 12", dual coil Clarion subs (250RMS each), would it drain my battery or damage the alternator. The amp is not digital, and the wiring would consist of having the individual subs wired in series, and then having the two subs wired in parallell for a 4Ohm mono load. I'm just wondering if I would require a Farad cap or a stronger alternator. My guess (and wish) is that I won't have to... but if anyone could provide any further insight, it'd be greatly appreciated.
