[QUOTE="Lil Poot, post: 2448553, member: 561892"] this is just freakin awesome. about 2 months ago, after working for a couple weeks, my crossfire vr2000d blew a capacitor. i replaced it with an american bass vfl 200.1, thinking running the crossfire at .7 ohm was what killed it and that the vfl would laugh at that impedence. i've had the vfl hooked up for about 2 weeks now, and i've been running it hard. today, i get about 4 blocks from my house, turn it up to where i usually do for full output, it plays about 5 seconds then the amp goes into protect. i pull over, check all my connections, thinking maybe a stray strand of power wire had touched a ground or something, dont see anything, so like a dumbass i turn the deck off then back on. the amp plays some horrible sounds through the subs then i see the magic smoke. i open it up and its fried. i inspected all my connections thoroughly and everything looks good to me. this is what i saw. any thoughts at all on what i'm doing wrong? if i can't figure this out without putting in another amp to test, i'm done having bass in my truck. smoking over 1000 dollars in amps in a months time is enough for me.
