I don't claim to know everything or a lot about anything. This is especially true when it comes to audio. However, telling someone who has built countless home speakers that it is a good idea to tune your mains to 40hz is just ridiculous. Not even that, but the complete disregard for every counterpoint that I've made is even more appalling. I never once even implied to tune your home sub to 40hz; I honestly cannot see how you would even begin to think that in the least. Furthermore, you call me a child when you have clearly never done this before, and your lack of reading comprehension is even more startling. I'm not trying to get into a fight with you, but seriously, you have yet to tell me anything wrong with what I've said, and instead make up completely unrelated points. Somehow we went from me asking you why you tuned your mains to 40hz, to you trying to embarrass me by saying that I PERSONALLY said to tune your home subwoofer to 40hz? There is no correlation there whatever man. I have not said anything confusing at all, I've simply answered your questions which have slowly deviated from my original point, which rupurfor also noted. So, all that I have to say from this post out is this: plot the system and look at the response curve, create a crossover circuit, build and review them, and then post back with your results.
