HUs that come from pawn shops with no care given to features ~ just as long as it will play AM and FM and CDs is fine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif They'll use 14 or 16awg cabling for power/ground wire for amps with ground connections normally made to whatever screwhead happens to be handy (and then not understand why they have unbearable alternator whine?!?) Speaker wire runs made up of multiple pieces of whatever scraps they could find laying around and patched together with nothing covering the joints but vinyl electrical tape (badly wrapped in most cases) powering whatever second or thirdhand speakers of varying kinds they can obtain. Case in point my best friend's stereo: Jensen HU, Optimus 7-band passive EQ that I sold him, one Sony 6x9 and one Polk Audio 6x9 in his doors make up his front stage which is powered by some Logic SoundLabs amp and a pair of bottom-end MA Audio 12s that are being seriously underpowered by a Profile 440SX (that he also bought from me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif)running in bridged mode. The wiring supplying all of this is so atrocious that it is literally painful to see and his RCAs are the cheapest that he could find at Rat Shack. He constantly asks me how is it that my single 12" in a car trunk is so much louder and cleaner than his two 12s inside an extended cab truck. No matter how many times I tell him quantity doesn't always equate to quality or even overall volume he simply doesn't get it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
