The w6v2 has much better impact, smoother repsonse, and hits way lower then the alpine type r. I work at a custom audio shop that sells both of them, so I can say that ive heard them both in pretty much every setup.  If i were comparing something to the type r 12 then it would be the infinity kappa/ kappa perfects, although I still think the infinitys are clearer, and hit lower octaves.  The type r's are decent.</p></blockquote><p></p>
