LOL Pulp paper is still one of the best materials out there to use.... excellent weight to strength ration, relatively cheap and easy to make, very inert material, etc. There's a reason many of the top home audio driver's still use this material when in that relatively stable environment almost any material could be used. What do you consider a good cone material, aluminum? Titanium? I guess Abahn sucks because.... some random kid blew his Abahn while probably abusing it? The fact this person's vc blew is an indication of what exactly? User error most likely. We could show pics of blown MT's, W7, Brahmas, Mags etc all day long.... does this mean they **** also? Or only when an 18 y/o who is clearly new to this stuff blows one? IM sure if this had been about almost any other brand besides Abahn, it wouldn't have taken till page 6 for someone to point this out. Frequency response is dictated much more by the enclosure size/type/alignment than it does by the raw driver. Stating the sub didn't hit the notes you wanted/expected is more likely a statement of your inability to build the proper enclosure. With all that being said..... yes, Audiobahn sucks.
