[QUOTE="UCF52, post: 3622637, member: 569085"] Well, I didn't feel like it was necessary to make a new thread, but I was out running some errands today and I drove by a Sound Advice (Tweeter) and decided to stop in. So, I'm in the audition room listening to some of the nicer Focal's, JL's, and Polk components... the guy walks in introduces himself and does the whole what are looking for thing. I really did want to get a chance to play around with the Alpine 205 in dash, but I asked if I could get a little demo of some of the components and a pair of W7 8's and then a single W7 12 in a ported enclosure. Well as he is running down the line of comps and every time a heavy bass note hit something in the room fell apart. First to go was the Polk crossover cover, next was the JL ZR tweeter frame thingy, and then grill of the Focal K2's went. At the end I looked at the guy like WTF is going on here. I joked with him and said "I hope your installations are of better quality than the installs in this room." Anyways, it might of been me, but I wasn't really impressed with the JL W7's (and I am a JL sub owner). For as much hype as they seem to get, they didn't sound that great or seem to get too loud.
